The following is an adapted quote from the Cambridge International Examinations website to give an overview about International General Certificates of Secondary Education:
“Cambridge IGCSE is the world's most popular international curriculum for 14-16 year olds, leading to globally recognised and valued Cambridge IGCSE qualifications. Schools worldwide have helped develop Cambridge IGCSE, which provides excellent preparation for the Cambridge Advanced stage including Cambridge A/AS Levels ...... “
At BSB's Secondary School in Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11, ages 14 to 16), pupils prepare to take up to eight subjects in the Cambridge IGCSE programme.
Following their Key Stage 3 years, pupils study English (and English literature for those taking English as a first language), mathematics, science, ICT, PE and sports. In addition, pupils may opt to take geography or history or business studies or art and French or German or Russian or extra English.
